Ms. Anusankar K is a Clinical Psychologist who completed her M.Phil. in Clinical Psychology from the National Forensic Sciences University (NFSU), Delhi campus. She holds a Master’s degree in Clinical Psychology from Prajyoti Niketan College, Pudukkad (Calicut University) and a B.Sc. in Psychology from Blossom Arts and Science College, Malappuram (Calicut University).
She has contributed to the field of psychology through research, including the publication of an international journal article related to the COVID-19 pandemic. She has also qualified UGC-NET with JRF, GATE (2022), and Kerala SET.
Ms. Anusankar has prior experience working as an Assistant Professor of Psychology, where she taught graduate and postgraduate students. Along with her teaching responsibilities, she actively supported students by addressing their academic challenges, emotional concerns, and personal issues, thereby fostering their overall well-being and resilience. Her research work during the accademic career focused on comparing the efficacy of second-generation cognitive techniques and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) among individuals with OCD, exploring aspects such as psychological well-being, interpersonal functioning, and the role of therapeutic alliance.
She has extensive experience in conducting psychological assessments, including IQ testing, Specific Learning Disability assessments, personality evaluation, and psychodiagnostic assessments.
Clinically, Ms. Anusankar has proficiency in individual psychotherapy for a wide range of psychological concerns, including depression, anxiety disorders, borderline personality disorder, dissociative disorders, substance use disorders, and emotional/interpersonal difficulties. Her therapeutic expertise lies in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Motivational Enhancement Therapy (MET), and Mindfulness-based approaches.
