Ms. Akhila R Krishna is a Trauma-Informed Clinical Psychologist with a solid educational foundation, having earned her MPhil in Clinical Psychology from JSS Medical College in Mysore, a Master’s from Kristu Jayanti College (Autonomous) in Bangalore, and a Bachelor’s from Prajyoti Niketan College in Pudukkad (Calicut University).

She specializes in trauma-informed interventions, effectively blending empathy with evidence-based methods to aid individuals in their healing processes. Her research interests in neuropsychology deepen her insight into the intricate links between the mind and behavior.

Ms. Akhila has made significant contributions to her field, having published two articles in international journals. Her MPhil thesis investigated Behavior Addiction among Adolescents, focusing on mobile phone, porn, gaming, and social media addictions, as well as their neuropsychological effects. Additionally, she created the Behavior Addiction Assessment Scale (BAAS), which is pending publication.

Proficient in various psychodiagnostic assessments, Ms. Akhila works with individuals dealing with PTSD, CPTSD, Borderline Personality Disorder, anxiety, depression, and substance abuse issues. She also has extensive experience working with children and adolescents facing emotional challenges.

Her therapeutic techniques include Schema Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, and Emotionally Focused Therapy, along with Cognitive Retraining and Behavior Therapy specifically for children.
